As soon as the firefighters arrived on site, the fire raged on an exterior wall and threatened the attic. Quickly, the sappers of the Sainte-Barbe Fire Department and the police began a quick exploration of the house. This operation proved to be successful since the occupant was sleeping. The man was therefore evacuated.

No incidents were reported during this intervention. The damage to the building is considerable. At the height of the blaze, around thirty firefighters were present to fight the flames. The local fire department was able to count on those of Godmanchester, Huntingdon, Saint-Stanislas-de-Kostka and Saint-Louis-de-Gonzague.
