Pincourt is beautified for the 4th time | VIVA MÉDIA Skip to main content

Pincourt City Council unveiled a mural on the pumping station, on Thursday July 9th, at the corner of Duhamel Road and 5th Avenue in Pincourt.

In June 2019, the design committee launched a drawing contest to find an image that would beautify the 5th Avenue pumping station. The selected design was produced by Evelyn Sotosek. It took a hundred volunteer hours to create the mural entitled “Douce rivière”. We should also mention the participation of: Athanasia Antonopoulos, Mélanie Lafrance, Laura Labrosse and Denise Bergeron, all members of the design committee, with the help of Erin Wainwright, Kimberly Declercq and Evelyn Sotosek.

It is the 4th mural done in Pincourt in four years. The other creations can be found in Parc Bellevue and on boulevard Cardinal-Léger. The addition of this new mural reflects the growth of the vitality of culture in Pincourt. In recent years, cultural mediation activities and collaborations with amateur and professional artists have increased.
