Halfway through, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Vaudreuil-Soulanges (CCIVS) is proud to participate in the vaccination effort in its region with its project which aims to facilitate access to vaccination as well as to offer proximity to the service offered to the citizens of Vaudreuil-Soulanges.

It was during a press briefing that the director general of the CCIVS, Mathieu Miljours, specified that this is not a mass vaccination clinic. That this is rather a local vaccination service in the sense that the CCIVS goes to meet people who otherwise might not have gone to be vaccinated.

A big visit

While the campaign was being deployed on the site of one of the campaign partners, Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges, the CCIVS received a visit from Marilyne Picard, MP for Soulanges and Daniel Paré, director of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign in Quebec. Delighted with the concept, Mr. Paré took the opportunity to point out that the contribution of private companies to the Quebec vaccination program is significant. For her part, Mrs. Picard took the opportunity to thank the CCIVS and its campaign partners for contributing to this collective effort.

“I salute the originality and creativity of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges business community, which has been able to set up a unique and innovative project”, said the MP for Soulanges.

Since the start of this project, the CCIVS has been able to count on the support of the Integrated Health and Social Services Center of Montérégie Ouest (CISSSMO). In this regard, Dominique Pilon, director of vaccination for Montérégie Ouest, came to highlight this collaboration.

“Since the start of the project, we have been open to the initiative of the CCIVS, which wanted to set up this innovative project. Do not be surprised if you see the CCIVS walking around in the parks of the region in order to continue the vaccination effort ”, specifies Mr. Pilon, recalling that the CISSSMO had indeed agreed to use the equipment provided by CCIVS to establish other mobile vaccination clinics in the region.

Strong support from businesses in the region

Pierjean Savard, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the CCIVS thanked the campaign partners, many of whom had come for the occasion, while recalling the essential role of businesses in the present situation.

“It is the responsibility of companies to encourage their employees as well as the general population to get vaccinated in order to get through this crisis”, he said.

The road continues

The CCIVS encourages the population to get vaccinated at service points set up in the region and to stay on the lookout for future publications to find out the location of vaccination clinics.

Wishing to be able to feel a sense of normalcy by the end of August, the CCIVS would like to recognize the hard work of all the business people who have shown adaptation and innovation during the past year.

The CCIVS takes the opportunity to thank the campaign partners:

Desjardins Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Fleury Michon, Promutuel Assurance Vaudreuil-Soulanges, DEV Vaudreuil-Soulanges, Conteneurs Experts, Sanivac, Excelitas Technologies, Ville de Rigaud and Manoir Harwood.
