The body of a man was recovered in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue on Sunday, November 8th  by firefighters from the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal.

In all likelihood, the recovered body could be that of a 55-year-old man who had been missing for several hours. In fact, firefighters were dispatched to the scene when people said they saw a man fall from a personal watercraft.

Several first responders participated in the research. Three boats from the Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal, boats from the Service de sécurité de L’Île-Perrot, firefighters from Pincourt as well as Coast Guard and Canadian Armed Forces helicopters were all dispatched to the scene. Despite the darkness, the search continued overnight.

Following the discovery of the body, the file was transferred to the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal for investigation.
