Celebrate Halloween differently | VIVA MÉDIA Skip to main content

Halloween 2020 will certainly make its mark in the history of this holiday popular with young and old alike for its special context. Public Health has given its consent so that the children can celebrate while respecting the recommendations.

Some families will go door to door to collect their famous sweet loot, others will open their doors as usual, but many have simply chosen to celebrate differently this year. Candy hunt at home, themed meal shared with the family, or even a horror movie and pizza night. Everyone had to adapt their planning for this children’s day according to what they considered best for their own reality. More than ever, creativity is required in this period of health crisis.

“Here we are going to do crafts, games, special meal, movies and eat the candy we bought. Working in the schools, we do everything we can to ensure that it does not close. So, I’m not taking a chance! I protect my family as much as possible and your children at the same time. There will be other occasions every year for Halloween”, said Mélanie Mercier, mother of a little boy.

Several other parents like Geneviève Foisy and Karine Avon have indicated their intention to spend Halloween as they usually do, while the other parent will stay at home to distribute treats to the children who knock on their door. In fact, several citizens have shown ingenuity in their way of distributing the candy. Indeed, some have made candy chutes, will use a two-meter pole while others have opted for a self-service system.

Mystery in Saint-Anicet

The municipality of Saint-Anicet has also used creativity to offer the population an original activity.
