Vaudreuil-Dorion launches its new registration platform for animals | VIVA MÉDIA Skip to main content

The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is launching a brand new online service on its website for the registration of pets.

The animal license platform allows citizens to register their pets, pay and replace the license. Plus, residents will be able to update their contact details or report a potentially dangerous dog.

This new way of doing things greatly facilitates the registration process. In fact, once payment has been made, the medal can be delivered free of charge by post directly to the resident’s home.

The city would like to clarify that citizens who have already paid for the license of their animal will not have to pay the fees again and that no medals are awarded for updating a registration. They are now invited to create their account on the platform and make sure their file is up to date.

Microchip

The city council adopted last May the additional by-law concerning dogs, making the microchip mandatory. At the time of registration, owners must provide the microchip number, as well as proof of their dog’s vaccination.

The city administration points out that citizens have until June 30th , 2021 to comply with this requirement. For this purpose, the city is offering a grant of $ 10 for the implantation of the microchip performed by a veterinarian whose practice is located in Vaudreuil-Dorion. Details can be found on the city’s website under “pet-license” section.
