The City of Vaudreuil-Dorion sets the tone for the Halloween festivities with a diverse program, including a weekend of activities at Le 405 park.

“This unifying and festive place was greatly appreciated throughout the summer, which makes it the perfect place for these celebrations. The City will also offer activities at the swimming pool, at the library and in the Baie de Vaudreuil which will begin on October 18th and which will appeal to the whole family”, announced the municipal authorities.

The summer destination of Le 405 park will be transformed this Halloween weekend, with new light shows and fall decorations. Halloween will take over Le 405 at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 30th , with events: walk-thru entertainment, a haunted house and a “photobooth”.

The bar area will be accessible from 6 p.m. for residents and from 7:30 p.m. for all, depending on availability. The duo “Lady Beats”, made up of the percussionist and co-host of the Belle et Bum show, Mélissa Lavergne, and DJ Abeille, an experienced DJ and former VJ for the Musiqueplus channel, will take to Le 405 stage from 8:30 p.m.. People are invited to dress up for the occasion!

“Following the summer success, it’s obvious that Le 405 will be a magical place for a Halloween weekend. This idea emerged several times in the recent survey on the activities offered at Le 405. In just a few months, this place has become a must-see destination in Vaudreuil-Dorion. Everything will be in place to ensure that visitors have an experience worthy of the most beautiful evenings of Halloween”, underlined the director of the Recreation and Culture Department Vincent Bastien.

Families residing in Vaudreuil-Dorion will be able to celebrate Halloween at the park on October 31st  from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. They will enjoy the entertainment, the haunted house, a distribution of treats and a professional make-up service on site. Escape Challenge:

Return of the Creatures The more adventurous will be able to use their smartphones and embark on the “Escape Challenge: Return of the Creatures” starting October 18th . This enigmatic course for all ages, with a mysterious and terrifying theme, will take place in the Baie de Vaudreuil, from Paul-Gérin-Lajoie park.

Alone, with family or friends, participants will have to solve various puzzles and will have to use the elements that are around them to complete the course of less than one kilometer.

On Saturday, October 30th , from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., families are invited to attend the Scary Little Beasts activity organized by Éducazoo. In the evening, the library will open its doors especially for a fun activity led by La Ribouldingue with young people aged 10 to 17, who will participate in the Werewolf game. Those interested in these two events must first register online or by phone. Citizens wishing to decorate a pumpkin can do so at the library on Sunday, October 31st  during opening hours, while supplies last.

The theme of the free swims on October 30th  and 31st  will be: “Monstres en folie à l’HallEAUween”. Free swimming will be complemented by various thematic aquatic activities, the pool will be decorated for the occasion and swimmers will receive treats upon exiting. It will be necessary to reserve for the free swim via the Registration for Activities section at www.ville.vaudreuil-dorion.qc.ca.

The vaccination passport will be required to enter Le 405 park and to participate in the free swim in the swimming pool. The citizen card will be requested during activities reserved for residents.
