Since the start of the pandemic, the CLD Beauharnois-Salaberry has been able to help a number of businesses and therefore support the economic and business community.

In total, $ 983,305 in support of 54 companies have been invested. Thus, under the government’s Emergency Assistance for Small and Medium Enterprises program, and its component attached to Assistance stream for Business in Regions Under Maxium Alert (ABRUMA), these are very close to a million dollars ($ 1,000,000) which were therefore allocated in 2020 by the CLD of the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM.

“Despite the exceptional circumstances that have afflicted our society for almost a year now and which have placed enormous stress on our entire economy, we must admire the resilience and adaptability of our merchants and entrepreneurs who are struggling as best they can to keep their head above water, underlines the president of the CLD of the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM and Mayor of Beauharnois, Mr. Bruno Tremblay. In this context, the CLD is proud to act as the conduit for government aid and to grant them this financial support while waiting for better days to arrive. Know that the CLD is by your side and that it remains available to help you and provide you with information.”

The president added that it is not necessary to have already had dealings with the CLD to seek help from these different programs. “Any business meeting government criteria is welcome and the CLD will make a point of supporting them in their requests”, says Mr. Tremblay.

For more information and to know the eligibility conditions for these programs, companies are invited to consult the CLD website at www.cld-beauharnois-salaberry.org, write to info@cldbhs.ca or dial 450 373-2214.
