Arts Alive! Québec is back for its fourth edition. Created by the English Language Arts Network (ELAN), the festival aims at promoting the arts in six English-speaking communities throughout the province.

Guy Rogers, Executive director at ELAN

Guy Rogers, Executive director of ELAN, was at Huntingdon’s Grove Hall on June 5 to announce the programming of this local event.

This year, the arts festival will be held on July 8th at the Grove Hall located at 165, Châteauguay Street in Huntingdon. There will be the traditional teddy bear picnic, a children’s concert featuring Chris Pennington and Friends, members of the Durham County Poets, as well as workshops and artisans throughout the day.

In addition, the Rural Arts Project will be presenting its musical Anne of Green Gables in an opening-night performance.

Tickets for the event are priced at $10 for the activities during the day (children under 5 years old are admitted free of charge), and $20 for the evening musical. You may purchase tickets for the musical at: www.grovehall.ca.
