Calling it a day of women helping women, the Saint-Lazare Women’s Softball League will host its annual FUNdraising Tournament Saturday at Bedard Park, 1591 Bédard Ave., in Saint Lazare, in order to help a Vaudreuil-Soulanges women’s shelter.

Games played during the July 13 event, running from 8:30 a.m. and ending at 7:00 p.m., will take place on two fields.
Personalities from radio station 94.7 Hits FM will be on hand to play in a featured game, which will get underway at 1:00 p.m., while the station will also provide music during the day. A hotdog canteen and beer tent will be set up.
Proceeds from the event will go to Hebergement La Passerelle, a local Women’s Shelter.
And organizes say spectators can also donate items like personal products, shampoo, toothpaste, personal hygiene products, gift certificates, and more. All donations will be collected at the baseball park.
