Local groups and organizations that would like to walk the green line down Hudson’s main street will have to step lively if they want to be part of the 7’th annual Hudson St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The popular event will get underway on March 19.
Jim Beauchamp, chief parade organizer, said applications are already coming in at a “feverish rate” from those wanting to enter groups or floats into the parade.
Beauchamp added that this year’s volunteer committee is hard at work on what promises to be “the best parade ever.” The Hudson celebration, which is always scheduled one day before the Montreal St. Patrick’s Day Parade, is considered the younger sibling of the famous downtown event. The Hudson parade will get underway at 1 p.m. from the corner of Cote St. Charles and Main roads. It will end in front of Cunninghams Pub in Hudson.
