Vaudreuil-Dorion residents no longer need to boil their water before consuming it, brushing their teeth or washing raw foods. The town lifted the advisory as of 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22.
On Monday Vaudreuil had issued the boil water advisory for many of its residents.
A power failure at a municipal water treatment plant was blamed for the need to enact the safety measure. The warning had advised residents living in affected parts of the town to boil their water for at least one minute before drinking, washing raw foods including fruits and vegetables or brushing their teeth.
