The Premier of Quebec, François Legault sent the students of École Secondaire Arthur-Pigeon a signed letter in which the politician is reassuring them about the duration of the health measures.

The letter from the Premier of Quebec comes in response to a video sent by MP for Huntingdon, Claire IsaBelle, to the leader of the Coalition Avenir Québec on Tuesday, October 27th . In the video, students from École Secondaire Arthur-Pigeon explained to François Legault the importance of activities for them.

It is on its Facebook page that the school thanks the Premier of Quebec for having personally responded to the students. “Thank you very much François Legault for taking the time to respond to our students! You have no idea how important your letter was to our young people. We will increase our efforts so that our activities can resume soon”, we can read on the Facebook post in which the response letter was also published.

In his response, the Premier of Quebec thanked the students for making the video. According to Mr. Legault, this demonstrates the passion and motivation of our youths. In fact, he says it affects him and he insists that education is his top priority. François Legault also makes it known that he is aware that the current restrictions are very difficult for them and that the decision was not taken very lightly.

“Right now, we are doing everything we can to keep our schools open despite the pandemic. Unfortunately, one of the ways to do this is to suspend school sports. All Quebecers must make significant sacrifices, and sports are one of them. But, I assure you, this is not a measure that will last for a long time. As soon as the health situation allows it, you can get back to your sports. And if we continue with all our efforts, we can hope that it will be soon. I’m counting on you to help us get there by continuing to protect yourself against the virus. Take good care of yourself”, concludes the Premier of Quebec François Legault in his letter to the students of École Secondaire Arthur-Pigeon.
