The MWCN has already been working hard in Vaudreuil-Soulanges for the last 2 years with an incredible number of accomplishments as well as connections within this community in such a short period.

Listed here are the many achievements we are proud to name thanks to the commitment to community of Clément Bergeron, our NPI involved in Network Partnership Initiative as well as the diligent work of our Development Coordinator Lorie Marcotte.

  • Opening of a permanent office in Pincourt with 2 permanent employees;
  • Realization of a Youth Gala in Ville de L’Île-Perrot with the participation of 430 people in May 2019;
  • Realization of a consultation tour of 56 people, i.e. 8 people per city, in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Saint-Lazare, Pincourt, Hudson, Ville de L’Île-Perrot, Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot and Rigaud;
  • Realization of a Partners Forum with the participation of 75 territorial actors (MRC) in February 2020;
  • Official recognition of the MWCN by 6 cities of the MRC;
  • Development of a five-year action plan with the collaboration of the English-speaking community of Vaudreuil-Soulanges;
  • Offer of an initial program of 13 free activities by ZOOM in the fall of 2020 that allowed us to serve 684 participants with the collaboration of some 20 provincial, regional, and territorial organizations (MRCs);
  • Offer of a program of 13 free activities by ZOOM in the winter of 2021 (in progress);
  • Realization of partnerships with Desjardins, Lester B. Pearson School Board, 7 cities, the Centre Intégré de Santé et de Services Sociaux de la Montérégie Ouest (CISSMO), Seniors Action Québec (SAQ), the Community Health and Social Service Network (CHSSN), the Southwest Voice;
  • Active member of 6 tables de concertation de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, i.e. the one for early childhood, youth, seniors, disabled persons, natural caregivers and the educational and social success of young people;
  • Contribution to the development of the sustainable social development policy of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges;
  • Collaboration with provincial and federal MPs, Ms. Nichols, Ms. Picard and Mr. Schiefke;
  • Establishment of a permanent coordinating committee for Vaudreuil-Soulanges for the Network Partnership Initiative (NPI) since January 2019, Assignment of 2 students to the Pincourt office for the summer of 2020, In a few weeks a 3rd employee will join the MWCN Vaudreuil-Soulanges team at the Pincourt office.

Along the way, we have acted as a reference center for members of the English-speaking community of Vaudreuil-Soulanges and have provided translation services for organizations in Vaudreuil-Soulanges that act as our partners.
