We must always remember that many people are alone on Valentine’s Day. February 14th is known as the feast day of Saint Valentine or Valentine’s Day, the celebration of love and affection. A day we send cards, gifts, or tokens of appreciation to a loved one. And even though physical contact is not safe during these times, it is still important to find a way to acknowledge those who we love or are alone at this time. Well…. MWCN did just that!
On February 10th and 11th , all three offices of MWCN, Chateauguay, Huntingdon and Pincourt, spread the love throughout our communities. Not only did we deliver ‘goodies’ to senior members throughout Montérégie West, but we also held a Valentine bucket draw in each of our 3 locations. Our lucky winners were: Heather Macdonald – L’Île-Perrot, Georgina Ramos – Ormstown, Cathy McFall – Chateauguay.
Our Chateauguay office teamed up with ‘Sweet Treats Montreal’ operated by Hailey Minshull of Chateauguay.14 wonderful volunteers helped deliver 56 beautiful cupcakes to seniors in the area.
The Wellness Center in Huntingdon handed out 25 beautiful lavender sachets in Haut-Saint Laurent made by April Donelly of Hinchinbrooke.
Pincourt office was fortunate to have Sharon King of Pincourt make 60 heart-shaped cookies, as well as kindergarten students from St. Patrick Elementary and Pierre Elliot Trudeau Elementary make beautiful Valentine cards, all delivered with love to our members throughout Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
