An attempted robbery occurred in L’Île-Perrot on Saturday, October 3rd .

It was approximately 11 p.m. when an individual arrived at a self-service station located on Grand Boulevard in L’Île-Perrot. Upon entering the store, the man demanded the contents of the cash register as well as the employee’s cell phone.

For an unknown reason, the thug turned back without having won his case. As Sergeant Claude Denis, spokesperson for Sûreté du Québec, explains, there was no theft. “The suspect was in possession of a weapon, confirms Denis. The employee sustained a minor injury to his hand. The individual fled with a bicycle.”

Identification of the suspect

A description of the suspect was provided by the SQ. It is about a man in his forties who spoke English, but with a French accent. At the time of the crime, he was wearing a black coat, a white scarf and a cap. He would be approximately 6 feet tall.
