For the occasion, Maison Trestler is offering an exhibition of works illustrating scenes from everyday life, a different look at events unfolding in our universe over time, “Instantanés du quotidien”. The subjects represented will be reflected in a retrospective section of his 20 + 1 year career and new works; thus illustrating an imaginative journey…

“I immortalize moments, emotions that create a story representing the daily life of humans, flora and fauna, notes the artist. Stop time, create magical moments, see life differently.”

About Jocelyn D’Amours

To enter the world of Jocelyn D’Amours is to discover simplified beauty. This innovative painter favors linear gestures and knows how to translate, in a few vivid strokes, the essence of the themes he stages.

Mr. D’Amours has developed the art of expressing a lot with a little. His objective is achieved when he succeeds, from a few strokes, in evoking the formal character of his subject. Its reputation has already crossed borders. His work has been rewarded with 2 international prizes; including a prize awarded by the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts (SNBA) of Paris, in December 2010.

About the exhibition

The “Instantanés du quotidien” exhibition will be held at Maison Trestler, at 85, chemin de la Commune in Vaudreuil-Dorion, from July 7th  to December 20th , 2021. Before heading over, it is best to call as the house is sometimes reserved for the private sector.
