Updated on Dec. 7, 2016: Two suspects have been arrested and charged with first degree murder in connection with the homicides of two members of the Rock Machine biker gang. Richard Hunt, 38 and Mélanie Binette, 28, were arrested on Dec. 5 by members of police SWAT teams and homicide detectives. They appeared the next day in a Salaberry-de-Valleyfield court to face first degree murder charges.

Police are seeking the public’s help to locate a Hudson man, as well as another person, in connection with a double murder that occurred on Dec. 1 in Vaudreuil-Dorion. Sûreté du Québec say they would like to speak with Richard Hunt, 38, but have not been able to locate him. Investigators also want to meet with Mélanie Binette, 28. Both are listed as people of interest in connection with the murders of Joseph Fluet and Steven Lamarsh. The victims were found in a field off Montée Alstonvale. Police issued a public appeal on Dec. 3. Hunt could be driving a light grey four-door 2011 Dodge Ram truck with the license plate G54 MKS. According to his Facebook page, Hunt, the current owner at Hunt Maintenance and Renovation, went to Hudson High School, now called Westwood Sr. High School. He is listed as being engaged. Anyone with information can call police confidentially at 1 800 659-4264.
