A new water park was officially inaugurated Monday at Olympique Park in Pincourt by mayor Yvan Cardinal and other town officials. The park, located at the corner of Lussier Ave. and Cardinal-Léger Blvd., has been open since Aug. 12. It runs daily from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m. and is divided into two separate zones – one for babies and toddlers, and another for school age children. Among other things, the facility boasts water jets, a water umbrella, geyser jets, a squirt tunnel, water cannons, and two water buckets. Timed water sequences are randomly determined by a computer. Cardinal noted that the location of the park means families, as well as children from the municipal day camp and those from nearby Notre-Dame-de-Lorette school, can use the facility. The water park will open from late May until early September, depending on weather conditions.
