Do you want to learn how to conserve water, or at least consume it more efficiently? Pincourt, L’Île-Perrot and Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot residents who answered yes can attend a free lecture on the topic on Tuesday, June 18 at 7 p.m.
During the evening biologist and agronomist, Micheline Lévesque, an expert in ornamental horticulture, will share tips and techniques on water conservation inside and outside the home. Other topics covered will include water efficient plumbing fixtures, optimal pool maintenance strategies, how to reduce water consumption for lawns, flower and vegetable gardens, and how to maximize watering use during authorized periods. The lecture will be given in French, but participants will be able to ask questions in English.
Lévesque, who has more than 30 years of experience in horticulture and agronomy, is the author of four specialized books including L’écopelouse – Pour une pelouse vraiment écologique, which received the 2008 Horticultural Merit from the Montreal Botanical Garden.
How to Consume Water Differently will take place at the Pincourt Omni-Centre, located at 375 Cardinal-Léger Blvd. Though free to attend, participants are asked to register by calling 514 578-1079, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
